Karma

So this blog post isn't my usual kind but I'm thinking of doing more blogs like this rather than just beauty/makeup/skincare.

So I was out walking my dog and I saw a dog collar on the floor with tags and a number on it and when I got home I rung the number to let them know I had found their dogs collar and a lovely man called Roy answered the phone and he was very grateful I had found his dogs collar and he came to pick it up and gave me a little black box in return and said "Here's a lil' something to say thank you"

I had already found it very sweet that he gave me a little thank you gift but when I opened it there was a beautiful necklace inside.

Have you done a good deed today?

Review: Face Scrubs

I have tried 4 different face scrubs that i bought to review for you, they were selected at random or influenced by popularity to see if they were worth the hype.

The four face scrubs I chose are:

Neutrogena blackhead eliminating daily scrub
*St Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub
*The Beauty Parlour Glowing Face Scrub
*Simple Kind to Skin Moisturising Scrub

The first one I bought was the simple one

I wouldn't necessarily class this as a scrub but more of a facial wash,it foams when you rub it and rinses off easily,it's for sensitive skin and is very gentle which is good because I didn't get a reaction it was very good but didn't do anything helpful to my skin or pores but it helped keep my skin clean.

I mainly chose this because of the smell it smells so good, its designed for all skin types and is oil free(perfect for my skin) it helps give you radiant skin. When I used this I loved it a perfect face scrub for me is when I can feel the gritty-ness because it makes me feel like its scrubbing deep in my pores and really working which I felt this did the only think was it gives radiance but it make my cheeks a bit red which the already naturally are,but the redness did settle down after a while. I would definitely buy this when its ran out but will finish my other ones first.

The Beauty Parlour is definitely a brand I had never heard of before and I think it is only exclusive to Boots like an own brand but don't quote me on that. This scrub is designed to give a glowing complexion it contains micro Pumice beads and Apricot Kernel Oil. I thought this scrub was OK It didn't really do to much for my skin but I would recommend it for people with 'dull' skin,I don't think I will buy this again.

Finally the Neutrogena I haven't really been using it long enough but all I can say is "wow" I will 100% be buying this again its been helping with my breakouts and wakes up my skin in the morning the only thing I wasn't keen on was the smell,it is very subtle though and I will 100% be buying this again,it's definitely worth the hype!

Frankie Says Relax

Life can be a bit of a blur sometimes,so its important to have a little "me" time.

You may say "I don't have time" but realistically you can make time,so run yourself a bath, put your feet up and just relax.

Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover

I am very lazy when it comes to taking off nail varnish I could just sit there and pick it off or i will go to bed with it on and wake up Monday morning for school and still have it on and spend 10 minutes scrubbing it off with cheap rubbish nail varnish remover,so when I heard about this through Sammi from Beauty Crush I had to get it and it is amazing.

It says it takes one second but I would say it takes about 3-4 seconds which didn't bother me as that was still pretty quick, you stick in your finger(one at a time) and inside is a sponge with a hole in it, you put your finger inside the hole and twist the bottle, take out your finger and voila!

It also smells really good like red fruit and vanilla, it costs 4.99 from Boots and I will definitely be buying this again!

Cyclax Soothing Gel

Everyone loves a holiday, but no one likes having painful raw red sunburn.

My skin has never been olive or easy to get a tan, it always takes me a while to gain a natural tan which means when its sunny i spend as much time in the sun as i can which leads to very red and sore sun burn. When I was in Spain my Dad brought me back this gel for sunburn called Cyclax Aloe Vera after sun soothing gel which I had never heard of before but I absolutely loved it.

It contains:
*Aloe Vera
*Cucumber
*Mint Extract
All in which designed to help calm and sooth the sunburn, you keep it in the fridge for that extra cooling effect. This was like a miracle sent for the angels i absolutely LOVE it,not only does it help but as I put it on i could almost hear the "tssss" on my skin (just kidding) It felt like a fire being extinguished. I was worried it would fade my tan but it doesn't it just relieves the redness and soreness( no one wants to look like Patrick from Sponge bob) You can purchase it online and they also have a range of different products such as hand&nail cream, revitalising cream and others.

I really love this product and you should definitely try it!

Review: Lush- Mask of Magnaminty & Tea Tree Water

I am the kind of person who's skin can be very unpredictable,so after I broke out beyond London I decided to invest in these two products.

-Mask of Magnaminty is a cleanser that contains peppermint, primrose oil and ground aduki beans. I was very intrigued by its wondrous name but the actual product itself was not as amazing as I thought it would be, it helped bring down the redness in my blemishes but did not actually get rid of them in which it claims to do,I definitely prefer the consistency of the fresh face masks as they go on smoother whereas this product is very lumpy and takes a while to dry on the skin. I haven't finished the pot yet and am not sure if I will be re-purchasing this item I am not sure if it was because my break out was too extreme or whether it just wasn't for me but I wouldn't knock this product until you've tried it.

-Tea Tree Water is the first toner I have purchased from Lush and I was very impressed it is designed for spot prone or oily skin which was perfect for me.I haven't been using it as a toner as such but as a refreshing spray for when its hot, I took it to Spain with me and it was my absolute saviour for the heat. I spritzed it on my face and could feel it just cooling me down it definitely helped with the oil on my skin and also left a subtle smell of would you believe tea tree! I loved this product and will be purchasing it again in the future.

I hope this review helped you and hope you have a lovely weekend!

P.S did you know that if you bring back 5 clean full-size Lush pots or tubes you can get one fresh face mask for free?!
